Brandon Dube

Optical Designer & Metrology Specialist

I am a graduating senior in the Optics program at the University of Rochester.  I am currently employed as the Director of Metrology of Olaf Optical Testing, a company I co-founded three years ago.  I am also a student researcher in the Center for Freeform Optics and Fienup Group.  My interests are in advanced metrology and optical design, especially with aspherical and freeform elements.  My senior thesis is on the the introduction of a new mode of wavefront sensing based on classical MTF data.

For the past two years, I have had internships at Caltech/NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory ('17) working on the EECam systems for the Mars 2020 rover, and at Optikos Corporation ('16) working on adaptation of existing test platforms for stray light measurement.  You can find my resume here.
